City by Subway promotes a non-intruding form of advertising, where content is aligned with context, to better serve users/travelers. This is why CbS values content marketing, branded entertainment and native advertising. The final goal is to make advertisements not or less intruding, so that they don’t interfere with the enjoyment of content by users. This approach should bring value to user's experience and thus will benefit also Brands.

Modern technology allows for video production with limited budgets. This is why is essential to create valuable content, and to make professional videos, based on storytelling and on professional production and direction. Even though technology is widely available, CbS believes that quality comes from professionalism, as well as from a direct contact with clients (in order to understand their communication needs to be expressed through videos). Through the publisher network (city, line, and station publishers), CbS will provide support in format design and content creation for local brands.

BRANDED SOLOUTIONS


LINE CHANNEL

Description
The Line Channel is a container for text and videos, visible in every station of the same line. Content may be created by Line Publisher or by Brands. It should be informational and entertaining for users (not just ad based). For instance a company selling cameras may offer photography tutorials.

N.B. It’s possible to create Line Channels associated to different lines in a city, or to different cities. For instance the Line Channel of Milan Blue Line may be associated to London and New York Blue Lines. Or it could be associated to Milan Red Line. It is the sponsored content (video and text) that is associated to different Line Channels.

Target
Big to medium size business activities, connected to a specific theme (the line topic), like retailers, brands, museums (for instance a Museum of Modern Arts that presents exibitions etc.).


LINE CHANNEL INSIDE USERS LINES

Description
Likes Line and Around Line will have their own Line Channel, that may be sponsored in each city. Through these two lines, sponsors can show their content inside the most liked stations and inside those that are closest to users (based on geo-localisation). Station Channels for these two lines will be the same as those of the corresponding stations.

STATION CHANNEL

 

Description
The Station Channel is a container for text and videos, inside a specific station, to which is always connected. Content may be created by Station Publisher or by Brands. It should be informational and entertaining for users (not only ad based). For instance a restaurant offering recipes.

N.B. It’s possible to associate the Station Channel content (text and video) to other Station Channels. For instance, a sponsor (like a retail chain) may acquire different Station Channels, in order to be present inside 4 or 5 station belonging to the same or to different lines.

Target
Business activities connected to a certain place (station), like shops, restaurants, hotels, etc.



EXTRA LINES

 

Description
The extra lines are lines that allow you to customize the paths beyond the thematic lines already exist and are divided into 2 types: SPECIAL and SPONSOR Lines.

Special Lines are managed by City or Line Publisher and can be orientated to time (2h/4h tour), events (design week, fashion week, etc.), or other issues related to a single city (the history of Milan, EXPO, etc.), while Sponsor Lines are managed by Brands.

The lines can also be activated for limited durations (for example, during a week during) and may not have intersections with other lines.
