Villa Reale

The Royal Villa of Milan (Villa Reale in Italian), called also Villa Belgiojoso, was built between 1790 and 1796 as residence of count Lodovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso. The villa was designed by Leopoldo Pollack in a neoclassical style with the main entrance on via Palestro, in front of the Indro Montanelli park (known as Porta Venezia park), for the strategical position near the Porta Venezia gate of the city.

La Villa Reale di Milano (ora Villa Comunale), è una villa costruita tra il 1790 ed il 1796 dall'architetto Leopoldo Pollack, su commissione del conte Ludovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso. L'edificio rivolge la propria parte posteriore, ove vi è l'ingresso per la Galleria d'Arte Moderna di Milano, verso via Palestro affacciandosi così sui giardini Indro Montanelli in zona Porta Venezia. La facciata della villa è invece rivolta verso il giardino in stile inglese sempre progettato da Leopoldo Pollack.
